Most shoppers would prefer to shop in stores with touchless self-checkout options, according to a new survey.
The majority of consumers are changing their shopping habits in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the survey by Shekel.
More than 70% of shoppers are using touchless, robust self-checkout options or shopping at frictionless micro-markets.
This compares to 29% who are shopping online.
The majority (87%) of shoppers say they would prefer to shop in stores with touchless or robust self-checkout options or frictionless micro-markets to pay for groceries.
Half of consumers say they are aware of touchless, self-checkout options and 75% say they frequently use self-checkout to pay for groceries.
